Families search alone
When a patient needs blood, relatives are often told to find donors themselves. The donors usually exist in the same town. Nobody knows who is eligible, nearby and willing right now.
We're nurses and builders in Buea. We've watched families leave a patient's bedside to search for a donor after dark. LifeDrop exists so that finding blood in an emergency never comes down to luck.
We connect hospitals and families to screened, voluntary donors through the chat and payment tools people already use every day. We coordinate the search; clinicians do the medicine.
Our measure of success is simple: the time between "we need blood" and a donor arriving at the desk, and how many families never have to search alone.

"Do you know an O– donor?" lands in personal chats at every hour. People don't want another app for the one or two moments a year they need it. They already use WhatsApp and MTN MoMo every day.
We took LifeDrop to MTN YaMo Pitch Season 4 and placed third: a WhatsApp-native donor network with MTN MoMo underneath.
The LifeDrop WhatsApp line is live. Donors register in the chat, are screened before every match, and confirm their blood group at the lab. Families request blood in the same chat and pay through MTN MoMo only once a donor confirms.
